Taormina reflects the typical medieval town and its streets are sometimes restricted in size.

The apartments “Le Casette” are part of this context, located in a hilly area in the very center of Taormina and offer amazing views and maximum tranquility; despite all our efforts, our apartments are not very friendly for people with limited mobility.
You will have all the advantages of being in the center of Taormina and still have unobstructed views and a truly quiet environment. You’ll be living in the proximity of the best restaurants and pubs of Corso Umberto (our main street) with easy access to public transportation, bus and cable car that will take you directly to our beautiful beaches in a few minutes.

If you wish, you can walk down to the beaches in about twenty minutes. It is a little publicized route, a choice intended for conscious travelers who like to fully experience the hidden gems of our picturesque town.
Look for via Bongiovanni, which starts right under the entrance to the cable car; continuing along the adjacent stairs you will see the soccer field: the way is the right one. It is a path of nature, along which you can admire an amazing panorama!

The itinerary is very beautiful, pleasant on the descent – but please don’t do it at 2 PM in the middle of August! – can be arduous in the climb, reserved for the most intrepid! The solution we propose is to walk down and then, after enjoying the beauty of our bays and beaches, go back up with the cable car. It is really worth doing, to better enjoy our slowness, our colors, our land!

In Taormina, as in many Italian tourist resorts, only residents can park on the streets. The municipal police are quite scrupulous about this, and we believe it is not worth risking a hefty fine, which can make you remember your vacation in this beautiful town in a negative way.

The narrow streets of Taormina require some practical driving sense, so be careful, and slow.

Near the northern entrance of the town, continuing from the motorway exit towards the city, you will find the “Lumbi” parking. This car parking structure is well connected to the city center: in about 3 minutes, traffic permitting, comfortable free shuttle buses will take you to the small square in Via San Pancrazio right in front of the medieval North Gate called Porta Messina. From here the apartments “Le Casette” are about 200 meters away. Please, at booking time, tell us whether you’re coming with a car or not.

The parking ticket must be paid at the cash desk before entering with the car. You can buy the weekly or monthly permit. The ticket must be kept well: you will need it to go in and out.
