- What is a vacation home?
“Le Casette” in Taormina are apartments; they are not a B&B, therefore different rules apply and the management of the apartments is different.
Scopri perché conviene un appartamento in affitto - Is there a minimum number of nights required for the stay?
Yes, a minimum stay of 2-3 nights, depending on the chosen period. - What’s inside the apartments?
All apartments have a private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, kitchen equipped with dishes and utensils. The kitchen is located in the living room. The Miramare apartment has a private terrace/balcony; the studio apartments have access to a communal garden with gazebo and tables. - When is a reservation considered final?
The reservation is final when the guarantee is received by bank transfer or by credit card. - At what time can I arrive?
Check-in takes place between 15:00 (3 PM) and 24:00 (12 AM). - What should I do before arrival?
Please contact us at least 2 days before your arrival so we can agree on the approximate check-in time and other needs you may have (no need to be sharp, you’re on vacation). A few weeks before your scheduled arrival, we usually send you a detailed map with directions to reach us. We advise to print it and take it with you. - What should I do as soon as I arrive?
Please call us by phone to communicate your imminent arrival and arrange a meeting point. - What is requested upon arrival?
Please show a valid document for each person, check the apartment and pay the balance with cash or credit card. - I have a car, what should I do?
In Taormina, non-residents are not allowed to park, so we suggest you park your car at the “Lumbi” municipal car parking. Remember to tell us that you’re coming by car, so we can give you detailed information. The parking cost is about 15 Euros every 24h. If you stay for 4 or more days you can choose the convenient “weekly pass” at a cost of 60 Euros (the weekly pass must be requested at the cash desk by providing the license plate number of the vehicle BEFORE entering the parking lot). The parking is not part of our premises and it is your responsibility to leave the car in a suitable place. Parking on the street puts you at risk of getting a fine. The Lumbi car park has free shuttles that in a few minutes will take you to the “Porta Messina” area (exactly in Via San Pancrazio) from here the house is about 250 meters away. Check out the section “How to reach us” in the Contacts page. - What is included in the rent?
The rent includes the use of all the equipment in the house such as kitchen, utensils, fridge, TV and air conditioning. Water, electricity and gas are included as are bed linen and bathroom towels. If you need more just ask and we’ll provide what you need free of charge. - What do I need to know about cleaning?
Cleaning is usually done before your arrival and at the end of your stay, if you wish you can ask for extra cleaning. - What should I bring with me that is not present in the house?
You will find at home the first roll of toilet paper, soap and sponge for dishes, some tea bags, salt and sugar. Shops are a few steps away. - What time should I return at night?
Our holiday home, unlike other types of structures, guarantees you full autonomy. All guests have their own keys and can manage their day as they see fit. - What should I do?
You can do what you want but please, do not damage any parts of the house, either inside or outside, including plants. Remember that you have neighbors so please, keep quiet at night. - What time do I have to leave the house?
Usually check-out time is by 10 AM. - I have a problem, what should I do?
For any problems, we are at your disposal and we’ll do whatever we can to be responsive, you can contact us at any time. - My plane arrives in Catania at a time when there is no public transport to Taormina. What should I do?
Let us know, we can find a solution together. - What should I do before leaving the apartment?
We recommend that you notify us before leaving. Please, turn off all the lights, air conditioning and other equipment. - I have physical difficulties or there are elderly people or people who are not self-sufficient or with walking difficulties, is the accommodation suitable?
If you have limited mobility, please remember that the apartments – and most of the town – are in a hilly area so you will need to walk up and down and take stairs. - I arrived in Taormina but I can’t find the apartments because there are no clear road signs. How can I find the house?
The best way is to call us directly, we will meet or guide you to the house. If you don’t feel confident with the directions, print the map that we’ll send to your email address, and don’t worry, Taormina is a small and friendly town. - We have booked the apartment for a week but we decide to leave after 3-4 days, can we get a partial refund?
No, unfortunately we cannot make partial refunds after your arrival. - We booked for 4 people and there are just 3 of us, does the price change?
No, if you have booked for 4 people you will be asked to pay for this number of people even if there are 3 instead of 4. - We booked for 2 people but now we are a group of 3 or more people.
We recommend that you let us know of this variation well in advance because it implies a change in the final price. - Who are your guests?
We aim at hosting people of any kind, united by a common thread: Le Casette are suitable for couples, small groups of friends, families, etc. Regardless of this, we welcome quiet people, lovers of beautiful things and nature that want to enjoy our beautiful places and views. We are hospitable, friendly and welcoming people and we ask in return the same attitude from our guests. We ask you to commit yourself to avoiding noises, disturbances of various kinds and to respect the neighbors and communal areas such as the garden. Given our hilly area – cool and far from noise – The Casette are not suitable for a super pretentious public, for lazy people or people who do not want to climb 50 meters and two steps on foot (if you have limited mobility or babies, take this into account). We ask this in exchange for absolute relaxation.
